School: The Border Theatre

The Border Theatre is a local performance company that is dedicated to creating and producing original works and to improving the the community through the artistry of theatre. Each year, it brings to life three major productions, a staged reading of a locally written play, and several minor productions in non-traditional venues. Productions are often the result of collaborating with artists in different mediums which lead to experiences that are unlike anything else offered in the city of El Paso, like the annual short play festival Exhibitions in Dis/Connection. The company also offers classes in performance and movement, as well as free playwrighting workshops which are sponsored by the City of El Paso’s Museum and Cultural Affairs Department.
